You should find yourself being pitted against players of similar skill.

It comes as part of Epic's grander initiative to improve matchmaking, with the skill gap between beginners and hardcore players growing wider and wider as Seasons pass. But with the new patch incoming, the studio is looking to improve its old matchmaking logic.

GamesRadar+'s very own veteran Fortnite player James Jarvis pointed out the similarities these names bear to previous locations could possibly hint at the next phase in the new season, which could be set in a new time. What does this mean? Epic says it is going to move slowly and as it launches the new matchmaking system across all regions, in order to "monitor how it performs".

Additionally fans can expect to see Bots in the near future for Fortnite. As one of the world's foremost bottom-tier Fortnite players, I might be one of the few people who actually get a kick out of some upcoming changes Epic Games is making to how matchmaking works.

Japan shock Ireland in World Cup stunner
Japan trailed 12-3 after 21 minutes, before Yu Tamura slotted a couple of penalty goals to pull them to within 12-9 at halftime. Tamura knocked over a penalty in between the two tries and Japan showed the first signs that they were not going away.

During this coming season, bots will be added at lower tiers of the skill ranking and will apparently behave "similarly to normal players". Bots, however, will not participate in competitive playlists. This is another system that we will continue to update and iterate.

That's not exactly conclusive proof, but the conspiracy goes deeper - posts on Reddit suggest that Epic has been hinting at the move since Season 9, with Jonesy's mysterious cave painting.

Other changes in this update will include a new options screen for controller sensitivity and an advanced settings screen that will grant players access to some serious customization options.

Already considered to be one of the strongest weapons in Fortnite, the Tac SMG receiving a Legendary variant only takes things to another level.
