While there's no pricing available right now, AMD's new Radeon RX 5500 graphics card certainly sounds like it will be both cheap and powerful. "That's why the Lenovo Legion T730 and T530 gaming towers and the IdeaCentre T540 Gaming desktop pack in AMD's latest Radeon RX graphics - satisfying players' need for high-fidelity visuals and lightning-fast framerates to fully immerse into their gameplay".

AMD tells us that we should start seeing the Radeon RX 5500 come to desktop gaming PC starting this November. Both are built around a smaller Navi 14 GPU and take aim at 1080p gaming. As they compare cards from other companies, AMD says that its new desktop cards will offer up to "37% faster performance on average" over competing GPUs when playing games at 1080p, while the mobile version will offer up 30% faster performance.

While we've yet to see how the Radeon RX 5500 performs in the real world, landing a laptop win like this out of the gate is a huge deal for AMD.

On the mobile side of things, so far the only laptop announced with a Radeon RX 5500M chip inside is MSI's Alpha 15.

Anyone who buys an Alpha 15 before the end of 2019 will also be able to get Borderlands 3 or Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint for free "while supplies last".

Congenital syphilis: USA reports most cases since 1995
The primary and secondary stages of syphilis, which are the most infectious, increased to more than 35,000 cases. Between 2017 and 2018, the number of newborn babies that died of syphilis increased by 22 percent.

Features on the RX 5500-series GPUs include PCIe 4.0 standard support, Radeon Image Sharpening (RIS), AMD FidelityFX, Radeon Anti-Lag, Radeon Media Engine, and Radeon Display Engine.

Regardless, the Radeon RX 5500 series looks to potentially offer renewed punch for AMD to throw in the budget to mid-range graphics card fight.

Coming in right at $1,000, the Alpha 15 manages to come in at one of the smaller gaming laptop price points, while still managing to deliver on a great experience with impressive graphics.

AMD launched the Radeon RX 5700 and 5700XT earlier this year with impressively competitive prices against Nvidia's mid-tier offerings. AMD board partners are expected to launch standalone graphics cards this quarter (Q4 2019).
