While the Google Pixel Watch isn't named, if Google is to unveil a new smartwatch, it'll likely be the Pixel wearable.

While this is a reported invite to Google's October 15 event with the new colors.

With the next Made by Google event taking place next Tuesday, it seemed that Pixel fans would be disappointed once again by Google's decision not to release a Pixel Watch.

Reports suggest that the two leaders will hold informal talks on October 12 at a five-star hotel overlooking the Bay of Bengal. Government sources said there was "needless speculation" on why the Chinese President's visit wasn't announced till today.

Of the three major Pixel 4 signature features - rear-facing dual-lens camera system, 3D face unlock, and Motion Sense gestures - only the third can't be found on an iPhone. According to The Verge's report, Google could launch the 5G Pixel 4 model later next year during Spring alongside the Pixel 3a successor.

On top of that, the Pixel 4 will pack an incredibly advanced version of Google Assistant that's unlike anything seen on Siri, or on Google Assistant on other devices. Interestingly, the report notes that Google could possibly launch a new smartwatch and a notebook at the event. This means that a 5G Pixel 4, or Pixel 4 XL is/are in the cards. The 5G version of the Pixel is now in testing in China apparently with an Autumn release next year (Downunder time) - while not early and over 12 months behind some 5G phones it would still put them ahead of an Apple 5G release.

It was later revealed in a report from Business Insider that Google was ready to launch the Pixel Watch alongside the first Pixel phone back in 2016, but was pulled at the last minute. These will be, as per the report, special 5G editions of the device (s). What's less certain is whether a 5G version of that new smartphone will come along for the ride.
