Giuliani associates arrested on campaign violation charges

From earlier subpoenas, we've already learned that Giuliani's arrested pals leaned on a congressman to push for the recall of the ambassador to Ukraine in part at the behest of the Ukrainian government, which is essentially the burglary in this here Watergate ensuring that Fruman will end up with a talk show deal as the G. Parnas and Fruman were arrested on a four-count indictment that includes charges of conspiracy, making false statements to the Federal Election Commission and falsification of records.

The documents say Parnas' efforts to have the USA ambassador removed were "conducted, at least in part, at the request of one or more Ukrainian government officials".

Two associates of Rudy Giuliani who have been linked to his investigations in Ukraine have been indicted for campaign finance violations, according to court documents released Thursday. That PAC spent heavily in 2018 to support Sessions, over $3 million dollars, but he went on to lose his seat.

Parnas and Fruman created Global Energy Producers (GEP), and allegedly funneled money through the company.

The men were arrested at Dulles International Airport as they were about to board an international flight on one-way tickets, according to U.S. Attorney for the Southern District Geoffrey Berman, who said at a press conference that protecting the integrity of U.S. elections from foreign influence is of primary importance to his office.

In issuing the subpoenas, the House committee chairmen conducting the impeachment inquiry insisted that they appear to testify.

The indictment says Parnas and Fruman "sought to advance their personal financial interests and the political interests of at least one Ukrainian government official with whom they were working" and took steps to hide it from third parties, including creditors.

Two other people were charged in the indictment: David Correia, a USA businessman, and Andrey Kukushkin, a Ukrainian-born US businessman who was a vice president of a Russian hedge fund before becoming involved in several marijuana-related businesses in California.

Three House committees subpoenaed Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman for documents they have so far refused to provide. The lawmaker had also received about $3 million in independent expenditures from a super political action committee that Parnas and Fruman had been funding.
