The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 6 contest against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California.

"I think we just want to take it a day at a time", McVay said of the Rams' approach with Gurley. After suffering an injury at the tail end of last season, Gurley experienced some troubles during the playoffs and wasn't being used as often or as effectively.

Gurley has rushed for 270 yards and five touchdowns on 64 carries five games into the season.

Plenty of Rams fans have questioned McVay for not using Brown or Henderson as much in the ground game to take some of the pressure off Gurley, but now it looks like they could finally see the two in action more come Sunday.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Ronald Vitiello have resigned. McAleenan had "worked well together with Border Crossings being way down".

If Gurley is indeed out, it's likely veteran back Malcolm Brown will step in and carry the load out of the backfield.

It was reported this offseason that Gurley has an "arthritic component" to his left knee, in which he suffered a torn ACL in college.

In addition, the Rams will be without cornerback Aqib Talib, who was ruled out of the important divisional clash with a ribs injury.

Gurley's workload has been somewhat limited this season, although he did play 67 snaps (93 percent) last week against the Seattle Seahawks.
