Hunter Biden to Step Down From Chinese-Backed Firm's Board of Directors

Hunter Biden, son of Vice President Joe Biden, told Bloomberg he is stepping down from BHR, a firm backed by state-owned Chinese entities.

"Under a Biden Administration, Hunter will readily regulate to any and all guidelines or requirements a President Biden would possibly perchance perchance also situation to address purported conflicts of interest, or the appearance of such conflicts, collectively with any restrictions connected to global exchange interests", the assertion stated.

Mr Trump has accused the former United States vice-president and his son Hunter of corruption in their political and business dealings in Ukraine and China, without offering specific evidence.

A statement released through Hunter's lawyer said he would resign by 31 October from the board of BHR (Shanghai) Equity Investment Fund Management Company.

After months of keeping a low-profile as President Trump fired a powerful barrage of accusations of corruption at him, causing the Mr. Biden to publicly vow to avoid any conflict of interest. The adviser also didn't know why it had taken weeks for this to happen, referring questions on that to Hunter Biden's lawyer.

President Donald Trump brought up the issue to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a phone call in July.

"He was never considered a good senator, he was only a good Vice President because he understood how to kiss Barack Obama's ass", Trump said to the crowd.

Mr Trump and his supporters have accused Joe Biden of abusing his power as vice-president to pressure Ukraine to back away from a criminal investigation that could implicate his son who then worked for a Ukrainian energy company.

"To date, Hunter has not received any compensation for being on BHR's board of directors", Mesires said.

The former president of Ukraine, Aleksander Kwasniewski, was familiar with Hunter's work on behalf of Burisma and recommended that Hunter join the board in April 2014.

Joe Biden has defended his son, telling the Reno Gazette Journal earlier this month: "He's a fine man".

Hunter undertook these business activities independently.

Trump claims that the Bidens used their family name to get China and Ukraine to pay them millions of dollars.
