Russian Federation to Sign Mega Deals With Saudi Arabia During Putin’s Visit

He was speaking in an interview with Arab broadcasters, including Saudi-owned Al Arabiya TV, ahead of his first visit to Saudi Arabia in more than a decade.

"And the territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic must be completely restored", Putin said, adding that he had openly discussed the issue with Iranian, Turkish and USA partners.

On Syria, where Russian Federation and Iran have been key allies of President Bashar al-Assad in an 8-1/2-year civil war, Putin said any new constitution that is drawn up should guarantee the rights of all ethnic and religions groups.

But this view is not shared by many other countries, which have hailed the key role played by the Kurds in dislodging the Islamic State group from Syria after years of fierce fighting.

"I said yes, we are ready to share anything that might be necessary, everything we have for a thorough investigation", Putin told the media.

Tensions in the region are high following attacks on oil installations in Saudi Arabia, which sent prices surging, and the seizure of tankers in the Gulf.

"Russia will never be friends with one country against another".

He also said Russian Federation was studying new investments in Saudi Arabia.
