While in the middle of its ongoing reconstruction work, Swedish video game developer and publisher Starbreeze Studios has said that it expects PAYDAY 3 to release in 2022-2023.

The first thing mentioned in the graph is the release of Payday 3 estimated to take place in 2022-2023.

Starbreeze Studios has been in pretty dire straits since the unsuccessful launch of Overkill's The Walking Dead on Steam.

Are you excited for another Payday? The company, which has been undergoing financial turmoil and nearly ceased to exist, said in a press release that it expects positive cash flows due to "expected new publishing agreements" in 2020, and Payday 3's release. This begs the question: will Starbreeze survive until 2022?

In the reconstruction work, one of the four major global accounting firms has also valued the company's assets, which is the basis for the transfer of assets that has taken place to the subsidiary New Starbreeze Publishing AB.

Politically both sides are hopeful some agreement can be reached, but time is tighter than ever. His comments came amid a crucial week in the Brexit process getting underway in Brussels.

According to the Starbreeze's restructuring deal, the company will be splitting off into two branches - Starbreeze Publishing AB and Starbreeze Studios AB.

Right now Starbreeze has shed away every other IP and license so it can focus exclusively on Payday, which still remains a strong earner thanks to its service-oriented microtransactions and replayability.

The news comes from a recent post on Starbreeze's corporate blog (Overkill is a subsidiary of Starbreeze), dealing with the company's future cash flow. These assets (mainly IP rights for PAYDAY) have been valued at SEK 1,600 million.
