Video footage which has gone viral on social media shows two men in their twenties or thirties, one bald and bearded and the other balding and sporting a ponytail, being barracked by an angry crowd as they pace the roof of a London Underground train at Canning Town.

The BTP had asked Extinction Rebellion not to go ahead with the "dangerous" pre-planned protests the day before on October 16th, warning that they "could create a unsafe scenario where some trains are stuck within tunnels with hundreds of passengers on board". "I have to feed my kids".

"I've been hit in the head and kicked on the floor by a mob".

The radical, left-wing outfit has been staging demonstrations in the United Kingdom to force attention on climate change.

Extinction Rebellion has made repeated attempts to shut down the city and its transport system over the past few months.

The New York Yankees won the series, winning 8-1, losing 11-0, and winning 11-1 to make up some ground on their rivals. Despite sitting on top for much of the season, the Boston Red Sox are expected to lose steam as the season progresses.

Extinction Rebellion launched the current wave of its divisive and polarizing form of protest on October 7. "I am not sure", declared Extinction Rebellion spokesman Howard Rees. "It is too early to say".

"This illegal action is extremely unsafe, counterproductive and is causing unacceptable disruption to Londoners who use public transport to get to work", he said.

British Transport Police said they were investigating the Canning Town station incidents and that it was "concerning to see that a number of commuters took matters into their own hands, displaying violent behavior to detain a protester", BBC News reported.

Extinction Rebellion is in the second week of a fresh civil disobedience campaign that has targeted government buildings, a local airport and financial institutions such as BlackRock to highlight the threat posed by global warming.

Jim Fitzpatrick, Labour MP for Poplar and Limehouse, said on Twitter: "So what point is Extinction Rebellion making shutting down East London's PUBLIC Transport system preventing ordinary people getting to work/school/hospital etc?!" "We will continue to have extra officers on patrol and will work to disrupt any potential criminal action before it happens".
