Parnas and Fruman are scheduled to appear before a Manhattan federal court judge on October 23.

A Florida man wanted in a campaign finance case involving associates of Rudy Giuliani is in federal custody.

David Correia, 44, a Florida resident, surrendered at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport after returning from the Middle East.

Fortunately or unfortunately for NCYI, Frager told JTA that the organization never received a donation from Parnas or Fruman.

Correia, arrested in NY on Wednesday, and Kukushkin, arrested in San Francisco last week, are expected in court for the arrangement and initial conference on Thursday.

Giuliani himself could face legal jeopardy, as federal prosecutors are examining his interactions with Parnas and Fruman, a law enforcement source told Reuters on Sunday.

Federal prosecutors alleged the pair schemed to raise and donate money for former Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Texas, whose assistance Parnas sought in "causing the U.S. government to remove or recall the then-U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine".

The Wall Street Journal first reported that Sessions had been subpoenaed.

Trump's fury rises with key impeachment inquiry testimony on the horizon
The US ambassador to the European Union is now testifying in the ongoing impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump . House Speaker Nancy Pelosi denied Thursday that the investigation was politically driven, and said there was no timeline.

They are among four men charged with using straw donors to make illegal contributions to politicians they thought could help their political and business interests, including a political action committee supporting President Donald Trump. The alleged illegal transfer appears to have first been noticed previous year by the non-profit watchdog Campaign Legal Center.

Prosecutors claim the men schemed to channel illicit funds into local elections, and also conspired with an unnamed Russian national to inject foreign funds into Republican campaigns.

Correia is accused of conspiring with the other defendants, including Ukrainian-born USA citizen Andrey Kukushkin, to make political donations in an effort to drum up support for a new recreational marijuana business in Nevada and other states.

Authorities said last week the investigation is ongoing.

The investigators in the Southern District of NY appear to have largely operated separately from what Trump's appointees at the Justice Department headquarters in Washington, DC, have pursued in recent months, and the investigation dates back far longer than what's been previously reported.

Giuliani is not named in the indictment, but as ABC News has previously reported, the business relationship between the president's personal lawyer and Parnas and Fruman is the subject of the ongoing criminal investigation being conducted by federal authorities in NY, with a primary focus on whether there were any criminal violations of the Foreign Agent Act in Giuliani's representation of foreign entities.

William Sweeney, assistant director in charge at the FBI's NY office, said at the press conference last week that the allegations stemmed from an investigation about "corrupt behavior [and] deliberate lawbreaking".
