Oppo Malaysia has also introduced the Oppo Reno 2 F and it's a more affordable mode under the Reno 2 series. The OPPO Reno2 comes equipped with a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen, 2400 x 1800 resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 91.1% screen-to-body ratio, on-screen fingerprint reader, Snapdragon 730G processor, 256GB onboard storage, 8GB of RAM, and a 4000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.

On the Reno 2 this is a shark fin pop-up like the original Reno series, but on the Reno 2 Z there is a simpler pop-up that rises from the middle of the top of the phone. Those are premium specs but we haven't gotten to the cameras yet. Meanwhile, the 16MP front camera has atmosphere light that indicates selfie timers and AI Beauty Mode. In addition to that, the phone also sports a 13MP telephoto lens, an 8MP ultra wide angle lens and a 2MP mono lens.

The key features Oppo is now highlighting in its advertisements include 5X hybrid zoom, Ultradrak mode, UltraSteady Video, and Bokeh Effect video.

The Reno2 is available in Sunset Pink and Luminous Black at the price of RM2,299 while the Reno2 F is available in Sky White and Lake Green at the price of RM1,599. OPPO also announced plans to expand into Germany, Belgium, Portugal, and Ukraine in the future, so perhaps those regions can look forward to the Reno 2 at some point as well. Its 48MP main lens uses the Sony IMX586 sensor and features both OIS and EIS because OPPO is prioritising videography this time, leading it to create the Reno2 with fantastic video stabilisation. Those two phones will be joined by its Enco Q1 earbuds, which offer hybrid active noise cancellation and different usage modes for music, video, and gaming.

Update: Originally, this article said that the Reno 2 will cost £499 in the United Kingdom, when its price is actually £449.

We'll bring you pricing on the new phones as soon as we get it.
