Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of NY hitting Switch in Q1 2020

Swansong, according to a press release, aims to continue Big Bad Wolf's track record of narratively-focused RPGs. You control three different vampires during the course of Swansong.

Set in the same universe as the Worlds of Darkness, aka the mainline Vampire games, it is interesting to note it is not directly linked to the delayed Troika Games' role-playing title, Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2. The developer is now in talks with publisher Paradox Interactive to bring the game to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. They are superior and sophisticated creatures who live among humans behind a shield of secrecy: The Masquerade. Big Bad Wolf previously developed The Council, the episodic adventure game set in the late 1700s about a secret society headquartered off the coast of England. With this adaptation of Vampire: The Masquerade, the team is working on its most ambitious project.

Swansong is based on the fifth edition of the Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop game. And this one's sure to please fans of the tabletop RPG. We have wanted to create a video game inspired by this universe for several years now. "My past experience as an editor and author of role-playing games, and also as Editor-in-Chief of an RPG magazine, is proof of how important this project means to me personally", adds Benoit Clerc, Head of Publishing at Bigben". Coteries of NY will be a unique, atmospheric, single-player narrative experience, set in a rich, fully licensed, globally recognized universe of Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition. Using these different characters, players will have to figure out the truth behind murders, conspiracies and other vampire shenanigans.
