Fans also misconstrued a Hailey's Instagram story that they thought was a dig at Selena right after she posted the song. "This cancer was killing me softly/I needed to hate you to love me", Gomez's lyrics read.

She said, "I showed her the video and her mom and Taylor started crying, and it wasn't because the song was emotional, it was just because the first thing they said to me was 'We're so happy that you're here.' After seeing all of that, this is such a cool moment, and that's a huge thing for me".

The "Texican" beauty's latest track Lose You to Love Me landed the No. 4 spot on first Billboard Hot 100 and it's now topping Billboard's Streaming Songs chart. He's even seen forlornly taking a behold out at the ocean from a cliff as his lyrics, "Yeah, I do know that I suggest you might maybe well down / Is it too gradual to tell I'm sorry now?" play over Sel's piano melody. "This song has my whole heart".

Coming back to the number 1 hit, Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter can not contain their enthusiasm. This is the epic Selena Gomez single we've all been waiting for and it's entirely relatable.

Saudi Arabia approves listing of energy giant Aramco
For the first half of 2019, it posted a net profit of $46.9bn, nearly all of which was paid out in dividends to the Saudi state. It said Aramco had a net income of $111.1 billion in 2018 and proven liquid reserves of 226.8 billion barrels.

It's surprising that this is Gomez's first time topping the chart, however, her highest-charting songs up until this point, "Same Old Love" and "Good For You", peaked at five.

Opening up on Apple Music's Beats 1's New Music Daily with Zane Lowe, Gomez said she's feeling more creatively fulfilled than ever after overcoming a hard period in her life. Thank you SO much Billboard for a first for me! Her previous seventeen singles including "It Ain't Me" with Kygo, "Bad Liar", "Fetish", "Wolves" x Marshmello and "Back to You" all have been certified by the RIAA.

Gomez continued: "Thank you guys for streaming and committing to this song!"

On her career front, Gomez is looking forward to a rendition at the 2019 American Music Awards later this month which would mark her first live television performance in two years.
