Netflix has confirmed the change, stating in an email to Cnet that 'Netflix will no longer be supported on a small number of older devices due to technical limitations.

We reached out to Samsung for further comment, as well as specify exactly which Samsung TV models will be affected by the change, but we haven't heard of it yet.

Some Samsung smart TV users will no longer be able to stream Netflix from next month, due to "technical limitations" on older models.

We'll stay on top of this story and let you know if other devices are losing Netflix.

Samsung made this announcement on its official support webpage.

WhatsApp now allows to Select "My contacts except for…" option in groups
The update is rolling out to users around the world on the latest version of WhatsApp , said the Facebook-owned company. In a statement, Whatsapp wrote: 'WhatsApp groups continue to connect family, friends, coworkers, classmates, and more.

While the company didn't formally name any devices losing access, Lifehacker noticed a Samsung help page that specifies "Netflix will no longer be supported on 2010 and 2011 TVs" on december 1. All of these were released prior to 2012, so it is likely that Netflix views them as not worth supporting anymore.

Those with the affected Samsung TVs will receive a message notifying them of the switch before December 1st. Plenty of Samsung smart TV owners probably already rely on a streaming stick or box of some nature, but those who don't will have to find another way to access the world's biggest streaming service. Samsung issued a notification on its support page informing that Netflix will no longer be supported on some devices beginning December 1, 2019.

Unfortunately, visiting Netflix's listed link to compatible devices doesn't reveal which devices will lose Netflix support at the time of writing, nor does it actually list compatible devices - it only lists compatible brands.

In a nutshell: Smart TVs have been around for a while now.

According to that Lifehacker post, the following Roku devices will also lose Netflix: Roku 2000C, Roku 2050X, Roku 2100X, Roku HD, Roku SD, Roku XD and Roku XR.
