Blanchard, a black woman with a light complexion, attends Southern Union State Community College, which has several campuses in East Alabama.

"The Auburn Police Division has identified the person of interest as Ibraheem Yazeed, 30 years of age from Montgomery Alabama".

Yazeed was arrested on an out-of-state-fugitive charge and is being held without bond, according to inmate records.

Authorities in Florida have arrested a man wanted in the disappearance of UFC heavyweight Walt Harris' stepdaughter, Aniah Blanchard. Several days later police announced that the investigation turned criminal after evidence collected from the auto signaled that Blanchard "was harmed and is considered to be a victim of foul play".

"When we arrived, the suspect fled the area, but he was located by Escambia sheriff's officers and marshals in a wooded area near the exit", Escambia Sheriff's Maj. She was last seen on October 23, near Auburn, when she visited a gas station. The suspect fled and was captured a short time later and taken into custody by marshals.

Yazeed is no stranger to law enforcement.

Hayward ties career high with 39 as Celtics top Cavs
He averaged 19.8 points per game in 605 games with the Hornets, making three straight All-Star appearances from 2017-19. The Celtics allowed opponents to score 108.0 points per game and shoot 44.8% from the field last season.

"To say the least, it's upsetting", Walt Harris told NBC News earlier Thursday, when Yazeed was identified as a person of interest.

Yazeed, who was arrested alongside several others earlier this year on charges of attempted murder, kidnapping and first-degree robbery in an incident, that left a 77-year-old man severely beaten, should be considered armed and unsafe, according to police.

Evidence in her vehicle led police to believe the 19-year-old college student, who is the stepdaughter of UFC heavyweight Walt Harris, was harmed during the crime.

Her vehicle was later found abandoned in Montgomery, more than 50 miles away.

Days after Blanchard was last seen, her black, Honda CR-V was recovered at a Montgomery apartment complex, about 55 miles west of where the teen was last seen. A judge Thursday revoked his bond in the cases once a warrant was issued against Yazeed in connection to Blanchard's disappearance.

In 2012, he was accused of ramming his vehicle into a Montgomery police auto at a Chevron station and charged with two counts of attempted murder of a police officer.

ABC 33 reports that the man wanted in connection with Blanchard's disappearance was apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Escambia County, Florida. Blanchard is still missing.
