Couple who got engaged in KFC identified

In a post that has been retweeted over 21,000 times, Hector Mkansi was taped adorably on one knee full of smiles halfway through his fried chicken to jubilation at the KFC branch.

While some initially criticised Kansi for choosing a KFC to propose, many across the country have been inspired by the proposal and are now coming together to support the couple.

"Please help us find this attractive couple", the Twitter account posted on Thursday. DM us any leads, there might be a Finger Lickin' Good surprise in it for you too. Batho ba Vaal re thuseng!

The company has since confirmed that the search is over: "South Africa, you guys are awesome".

"We would love to make their union even more special by offering them a two-page spread in our magazine so they can tell their handsome love story!" tweeted DRUM magazine.

The publication reported that Mkansi and Soldaat met in 2010 and officially got married in 2012. She is an award-successful organization reporter who also has coated agriculture, gambling, horses and hemp. From donations to pro-bono wedding invites and accessories, South Africans are truly coming together to make this lovely couple's day flawless.

The happy couple returned to KFC on Friday, where they received a warm welcome.
