Another gender reveal celebration has gone wrong, this time causing a recent plane crash in west Texas.

A gender reveal that went sideways led to a plane crash in Texas, according to a US agency.

The plane slammed into the ground and flipped over, the report said.

In October, 56-year-old Iowa woman Pamela Kreimeyer died during a party staged to reveal the gender of her next grandchild, when a homemade "pipe bomb" exploded and she was struck in the head by metal shrapnel.

Smart attempted to walk off the injury but quickly signaled for a substitution after doubling over in pain. Hayward appeared to jam the hand once or twice more against Aldridge before exiting the game.

The pilot dumped 350 gallons of pink water from the plane, but the plane was "too low" and immediately stalled. An FAA inspector also noted that it was a single-seat aircraft and not created to carry two people.

"The pilot reported that there were no pre-accident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation", the report said.

One passenger suffered minor injuries when the plane crashed September 7 near the town of Turkey, about 260 miles (420 kilometers) northwest of Dallas.

Gender reveal parties are meant to be a celebration for parents prior to the birth of their child, but some have gone catastrophically wrong in recent years.
