Dad, daughter kidnapped woman, dumped her in desert

On Nov. 6, she was dumped on the side of the road in rural Kern County in California.

PREVIOUS STORY: A woman who was reportedly kidnapped from the Las Vegas area was found in California earlier this week.

"She was reported to be cold and was suffering from the elements", Sheriff's Capt. Eduardo Hernandez said in a press conference on Friday afternoon. The victim was subsequently transported a local hospital where she was medically treated.

"It's a vicious situation", Hernandez said.

The woman, identified only as being in her 40s, survived the ordeal and was found by military personnel near the Edwards Air Force Base outside of Los Angeles earlier this week.

A father and daughter charged with kidnapping and raping a Las Vegas woman before leaving her for dead in the California desert have been pictured for the first time.

The pair are accused of keeping the woman in a room and sexually assaulting her on the following Sunday. They were arrested and face charges of attempted murder, first-degree ATM robbery, kidnapping to commit robbery, kidnapping from outside the state, and rape.

It's not clear how long the woman was in the desert or why her abductors released her. The FBI is investigating the abduction with the Los Angeles County and North Las Vegas law enforcement.North Las Vegas law enforcement ended up accumulating details and did not quickly have comment.
