Sean Couturier scored the shootout victor to give the Philadelphia Flyers a 3-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night. "Clap bomb" Claude Giroux and Sean Couturier scored in the skills comp, spoiling a brilliant effort from Leafs netminder Frederik Andersen.

Toronto trailed 2-0 when Marner left the game but tied it with goals by Dermott in the second and William Nylander in the third.

Despite his point production, there are times where I think Marner could be providing more for the Maple Leafs. "They'll play together at some point".

Then the Maple Leafs took notice. While at the time of this writing there has been no confirmed lineups coming into Sunday's game, we can nearly guarantee Kapanen will remain on that line (although I'd personally love Mikheyev there).

Though I guess the opposite would apply had Andersen avoided another regrettable October.

Australian bushfires: Thousands have been forced to leave their homes
One body was found in a burnt vehicle, police said; another woman was found severely burned and later died at Concord Hospital. That won't always be the case, though, and a mild fire season doesn't mean climate change isn't here, per the Guardian.

Although Chicago is significantly weaker than Toronto, the games between these two teams always seem to be exciting.

Marner did try to test it out, which may rule out the most serious of potential injuries, but there is definite concern that he could miss some significant time.

Kade Foster has received an overwhelming outpouring of support after his father tweeted out a photo of his son and asked his friends to show him some love, tagging Maple Leafs stars Mitch Marner and John Tavares after none of his friends showed up his birthday party. Jason Spezza, who was a healthy scratch against the Flyers, is the only available forward on the roster.

A young hockey fan just had what might be the best birthday do-over in history.

"I thought our best line last year was Tavares, Hyman and Marner - they haven't played together this year", said Babcock.
