The sport - a "truly original" new IP, according to Scarce - was announced at Microsoft's X019 event in London on Thursday, where it was verified that the title is however in pre-production. "We can not wait to share more with you in the future", Duncan enthused. Just like other first-party games, Everwild will also be premiering on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC. We're not quite sure what the gameplay will be like, but the Everwild trailer (embedded below) suggests it'll be a bit like Monster Hunter World - without killing the monsters. Development on Everwild is being led by executive producer Louise O'Connor, and Rare says it will be sharing more about the game in the future. This was recently revealed by James Thomas during one of Rare's weekly livestreams. It seems to be a departure from Sea of Thieves, but it isn't necessarily a callback to Rare's older 3D platformers like Banjo-Kazooie, either.
