This marks the seventh time he's received MVP votes and his fourth time finishing in the top 11. Barry Bonds, who won seven total and accumulated four of the awards after the age of 35, is the only man with more.

So if your a numbers person as well I can't see you overlooking Trout's advantages across the board. The only year he didn't finish one or two in the voting was in 2017 when he missed close to two months with a thumb injury.

Cody Bellinger entered 2019 as a glorified platoon player, regularly benched by the Los Angeles Dodgers against left-handed pitchers down the stretch the previous season. He led the league in on-base percentage, slugging and OPS in winning the MVP for the third time in six seasons.

Bregman, 25, played in 22 more games than Trout. In the American League, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout beat fellow finalists Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman and Oakland Athletics shortstop Marcus Semien.

No matter what Mike Trout is our MVP here at Halo Hangout and most likely throughout all of Angel Nation. Also, he set a career-high with 45 home runs in 2019. I'm doing everything I can to try to help the team win.

White House: Trump undergoes exam at Walter Reed
The announcement was made one day after Trump met with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg at the White House . Trump spent more than four hours at Walter Reed on February 8 for his most recent checkup, supervised by Dr.

Using the threat to accept San Francisco's offer as leverage, reliever Will Smith became the first of the 168 free agents to switch teams, agreeing to a $40 million, three-year contract with the Braves.

Regardless, Trout is a Hall of Famer already. Bregman added 41 home runs, led the majors with 119 walks, filled in at shortstop when Carlos Correa missed time and played his best down the stretch for the eventual AL champions, batting.372 with a 1.236 OPS and 37 extra-base hits after August 1.

The season ended in disappointment when the Dodgers fell early in the playoffs, but Bellinger received the sport's ultimate individual prize Thursday, becoming the 12 Dodger to win the National League MVP Award.

Asked if he thought the early end to his year might cost him the MVP award, Trout said, "It definitely did".

Still, that doesn't diminish the incredible season Bregman put up. "Finally, I'd like to thank him for putting the Dodgers and his teammates above all else".
