As per the latest WhatsApp update, two new features have been added including the blocked contact notice and the grouped blocked contacts. Separately, an updated WhatsApp for iPhone version has been reported online that features the Dark Theme.

WhatsApp announced that the update that contains the new changes is rolling out to Android users worldwide this week, so if you're seeing a new version of WhatsApp in the Google Play Store, then you should have the new feature available after you update. However, in order to make things simple WhatsApp earlier used to allow anyone to add anyone to a WhatsApp group, as long as they had the other person's contact number.

This comes after an announcement from Facebook that it will be branding its properties such as WhatsApp and Instagram more clearly so that they can be associated with their parent company.

You can also enable the same on older Android versions on certain OEM skins which have a similar option baked in to force-enable dark themes. The Group Blocked Contacts feature will help users to keep a track of all those he/she has blocked on WhatsApp. Besides this, WhatsApp now also shows in a chat when you have blocked or unlocked a contact. The same thing will happen everytime you unblock a contact. It shows whenever you have blocked and unblocked a contact.

Talking about the iOS beta version 2.19.120.20, WhatsApp features redesigned elements such as chat icons, read receipts, cell animations, etc., claims WABetaInfo. There are also redesigns made to the contact image when the profile picture or group icon has not been added. Other than that you can also check it by sideloading the release through APK Mirror.
