Hazard praises Lampard impact at Chelsea

Eden Hazard arrived at Stamford Bridge as a wide-eyed youngster hoping to make it big.

Having nearly taken Derby County up into the Premier League, Lampard was handed the Chelsea job following the departure of Maurizio Sarri.

Real Madrid playmaker Eden Hazard has heaped praise on Frank Lampard following Chelsea's blistering form since taking over as manager. He expressed his desire to see the club do well and predicted that adding two or three more players could help them become even better.

The Leicester City ace made his global debut on Thursday night in the 7-0 win over Montenegro, coming off the bench. He really took the ball well tonight when we needed calming.

Obi Mikel, now playing in Turkey, spent 11 seasons at Chelsea, five of them alongside Hazard, but was far from complimentary of the Real Madrid forward's work ethic, while insisting Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was the hardest working.

"He's showed already after four months that he can be one of the best managers in the world. They are lucky to have young players with quality", he noted. Maybe with two or three more players, they would be first. It's a big strength and I have felt I am trying it a lot more because we play a little bit different football to past year. "I still have good friends there", he was quoted as saying by The Star.

In just his second season in management, Lampard has taken Chelsea up to third place in the table as they look ahead to their next outing against Manchester City on Saturday. The Nigerian now plays for Turkish side Trabzonspor, while the Belgium global plays for Real Madrid in Spain.
