It gave Kyle Busch a runaway victory over his Championship 4 competitors for the NASCAR Cup Series title at Homestead-Miami Speedway's Ford EcoBoost 400. "I didn't leave anything out there", Hamlin said.

"On the restarts I could do what I wanted to do and hold them off for 15 or 20 laps", Harvick said. Meanwhile, each of these other three drivers won one of the three races in the round of 8 to lock themselves into the Championship 4.

Busch, 34, also became the 16th driver with more than one premier series championship.

Busch weathered a back-and-forth battle with teammate Denny Hamlin for the lead early in the final stage, then started pulling away from Hamlin inside of 85 to go as his race auto came to life. "We had a really good auto for those first 15 to 20 laps on the restarts and had a lot of speed, we just never got to try to race for it there".

Busch hadn't won a race since early June at Pocono Raceway and entered the season finale on a 21-race win drought. Hamlin is the one driver within the final four with out having a Cup title. Harvick took the lead early and was dominant in the short runs.

Busch, mockingly, skilled one explicit of his worst races within the pits in last 12 months's finale as his entrance-tire changer had hiccups on two stops.

He had to circle back to pit road a lap later, putting him a lap behind.

Pelosi says Trump will have a chance to testify to impeachment panel
Trump says his call with Zelenskiy was "perfect" while Republican lawmakers criticize the impeachment process as unfair. If Donald Trump doesn't agree with what he's hearing, doesn't like what he's hearing, he shouldn't tweet.

"We just needed to do something different", Harvick said. "Sometimes we may not be the best, sometimes we may not have the right track position".

"He was going for it, and I don't fault him for that because I've gotten really fast cars because he goes for it every single week".

"I felt like we did that tonight, racing all three of those guys", Busch noted. I know it kind of dulled out toward the end. "It was a lot of fun to cap off such an incredible year like that tonight".

When the checkered flag flew, Truex Jr. was able to make up that ground but still finished almost five seconds behind Busch.

"I know J.D. [Joe Gibbs' son, the co-founder of the team who died in January] was looking down on us all year long".

"It's been challenging, but it's also been a little intriguing to me just because of the fact you want to try to fix things and make them better and I feel like we've done a good job at that, but I think for me being competitive is really the thing that keeps me motivated", he said. "I mean, damn, what a season Joe Gibbs Racing put together".

Busch gave Toyota its third drivers' championship in 5 seasons.
