Rob Gronkowski headed to Super Bowl -- to host his own music festival

On Tuesday, the Associated Press reported that Gronkowski is set to host the "GRONK BEACH" festival at Super Bowl LIV in Miami.

"I may not be playing the game this year, but I will still be going to Miami and I'm going to be debuting my very own music festival and it's Gronk Beach", Gronkowski said.

The massive festival will feature open bars, tons of food, and performances by top artists including Diplo, Kaskade, Rick Ross, Flo Rida, Carnage, and more.

Gronkowski is planning to be in attendance at the Super Bowl in Miami, but not as a player. Also, according to ESPN, this week was the first time that Brady played a complete game and did not lead the Patriots in touchdown passes.

Gronkowski, who once said he never spent a dollar of his football paycheck and instead lived off his endorsements, has capitalized on speculation about his playing future. "The game might be facing off behind the stage that weekend". As part of the announcement, Gronkowski produced a video that featured two versions of himself - one urging him to return to football, the other promoting the party.

"I wouldn't say 'never coming back, '" Gronkowski said.

Known to be a big time partier - he is from Buffalo, after all - Gronkowski told CBS Boston it's a chance for fans to finally party with him.

"So many people to tell you the truth throughout my career always (told) me, 'Oh I want a party with Gronk!" We'll be interacting with the crowd.

Gronk Beach will take place the day before the Super Bowl at the North Beach Bandshell between 1 p.m. -7 p.m. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday at, with packages ranging from $149.99 to $500. "Even since I was a little kid - we always hustled, always played sports, but then we would always have a party after, go enjoy ourselves, because that's what life is all about".
