Michelle Obama Nominated for Grammy Award for Spoken Word Album ‘Becoming’

A total 84 categories will honor music's best recordings released between October 1, 2018, and August 31, 2019.

Although Swift has three more nominations than a whole lot of other artists do, the 2020 Grammys will pale in comparison to recent years where the singer has received nods in several major categories.

It's that time of the year when the much waited GRAMMY nominations are announced and social media erupts due to the choices - some deserving ones get nominated while some are shockingly left out.

In 2019, Grande was once again nominated in those same two categories: Best Pop Solo Performance for "God Is a Woman" and Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener.

The category has seen a number of Democratic politicians take home awards. Both Swift and Beyonce scored four nominations, and Grande garnered five nods, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.
