If Chelsea draw and Ajax win, that would suffice, but if Valencia leave Amsterdam with all three points then both the sides in that match would progress ahead of the Blues.

Chelsea can now secure passage to the last 16 with victory over Lille at Stamford Bridge in their final Group H game. "There were positives and negatives out of the game but that is a positive".

A host of teams are vying for qualification, with champions Liverpool hosting Napoli in Group E with both sides knowing a win will take them through.

'It could have been 5-5, 6-6 one of those games. we have to be happy with the draw because we gave away too many opportunities. The Premier League side showed spirit after falling behind to a goal from Carlos Soler, hitting back with goals from Mateo Kovacic and Christian Pulisic. "It was end-to-end, not that we wanted it to be", said Lampard.

Albert Celades missed a host of good chances and watched in horror as Kepa Arrizabalaga pushed away Daniel Parejo's spot-kick 25 minutes from time. Maybe their chances were more clear-cut than ours.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic becomes part-owner of Swedish top-flight side Hammarby
Hammarby, based in Stockholm, were founded in 1915, and they won one Swedish League title in 2001. By buying 50 per cent of AEG Sweden, Ibrahimovic owns almost a quarter of Hammarby.

However, Chelsea fans were left fearing the worst when the striker was stretchered from the field just before half-time in their 2-2 draw with Valencia on Wednesday evening, Frank Lampard admitting the bang on the hip "looked quite severe" with Abraham looking clearly in pain.

'Did I love the match?

"He's had a bang on the hip but it might not be as severe as we first thought", said Lampard, who confirmed the England worldwide has not gone to hospital. No, I didn't love it.

Kovacic has barely scored for club and country during the course of his career and the goal for the Blues was his first in any professional game since early 2017. Perhaps we deserved the slices of luck that we got tonight, but I won't take away from the fact that we have to take some of our opportunities.
