Earlier, when questioned about the clause, Rodgers said on Sky Sports: "There probably is [one] in most managers" contracts.

He continued: "It doesn't annoy me". I've loved every minute since I've come here. Most managers' contracts will have something in that but, for me, my only concentration is with Leicester.

"I think all the players were so happy for him in there afterwards, as we all are, because there's a lot of guys that are playing regularly, but he's the guy that came into the game today and was the hero for us".

"I don't think it is right if he is even thinking about moving to Arsenal right now". It's not in my control.

'I'll see where we are at with 10 games to go.

Buchnevich scored at 14:14 of the first period to make it 1-0, and Chytil's goal at 6:21 of the second extended the lead to 2-0. As awesome as the overtime and game-tying goals were, they only happened because the Bruins were excellent on the penalty kill.

"For us, everything's been great since we've worked together, we know there'll be bumps along the way but for me my ambition at this very moment in time is to help this club, a responsibility to share that with the Director of Football, with Susan our chief executive, to try and move the club forward".

"It seems now you're talking about a manager losing their job all the time and looking to be replaced. Me, I'm just concentrating on Leicester". Kelechi Iheanacho's scored in stoppage time to secure a 2-1 victory over Everton, who had taken the lead in the first half.

The Northern Irishman angered Celtic fans when he left them for Leicester in February 2019 and Sutton appeared to take a thinly-veiled dig at Rodgers on Twitter. On Sunday his team moved to within eight points of the league leaders Liverpool by winning a sixth league match in a row. But nor is he ruling it out.

Seeking a response to last Saturday's home loss to Norwich and needing to make allowances for injuries, Marco Silva recalled Michael Keane, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Alex Iwobi and deployed three centre-halves with Morgan Schneiderlin, his only remaining available defensive midfielder, not deemed fit enough to start because of a knock that had threatened to rule him out altogether.

"I thought we deserved it. Then we'll have a good idea of where we'll finish".
