The Belfast boxer won by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring it 100-88.

It was a solid performance and marked a winning return for the former two-weight world champion, who hadn't fought in nearly a year.

Speaking to ESPN in the ring in a Northern Ireland shirt after recording a comeback win following his IBF world featherweight title challenge defeat against England's Josh Warrington last December, Frampton said: 'My hand wasn't great coming into the camp.

Frampton will now await an opportunity for the super featherweight world title against current champion Jamel Herring, who had previously held world titles in super cock and featherweight.

"The last Windsor Park event was incredible, but to have a world title fight going for greatness trying to become a three-weight world champion would top the last one there". I would love the opportunity to fight Jamel.

Frampton had not fought since failing to beat Josh Warrington for the IBF title in December a year ago.

'I re-fractured it twice in the camp and I knew a lot of people were coming out to support me. "I just want to fight for a world title next", Frampton told the BBC. I thought I'd never fight in Belfast again, but there's talk of it being at Windsor Park in spring next year, so it can't get much better than that. But I had to fight'.
