Jaguars switching back to rookie QB Minshew amid 4-game skid

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew will return to Jacksonville's starting lineup Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, replacing ineffective and highly paid veteran Nick Foles following the team's fourth consecutive lopsided loss.

Marrone added he considers Foles "a really good quarterback".

This scenario may sound insane to even discuss at the moment, and Jacksonville potentially considering a trade down the road involving Foles will obviously be easier said than done. "He obviously can win in this league, but we've got to be able to have some help around him". Foles was 7-for-14 for 93 yards and an interception. Foles played a awful first half, turning the ball over on the team's first three drives (an interception and two fumbles) and then leading the offense to three consecutive three-and-outs. Only 10 of those points came in the first half of those games, including zero points and just 105 total yards against the Bucs.

Just take a look at how Foles would eventually go on to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars for a whopping four-year, $88 million deal, and this shows how he would be too expensive to keep around as a backup. It was the team's 18th loss in its past 24 games.

First Black Widow Trailer Brings Back Natasha Romanoff!
Although it does end with what appears to be a massive sequence set in the snow, in which Natasha Romanoff flies through the sky. The film - which will be directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige - hits cinemas around the world from 1 May 2020.

In any case, should the Jaguars turn to Minshew for 2020 and beyond, the Bears could conceivably be a team that could acquire Foles in a trade if the market bottoms out. A post-June 1 trade would save the Jaguars $15.875 million and include a dead cap hit of $6.25 million.

Could this decision have to do with Jacksonville's season basically being over, and the Jaguars would prefer to keep Foles healthy for the future? I haven't spoken to either quarterback afterward.

Minshew completed 16 of 27 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown with one interception.

The Jacksonville Jaguars benched Nick Foles at halftime Sunday after going down 25-0 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and relied on Gardner Minshew under center for the second half of the contest. "I just think it's the right thing to do". "We've got to be able to run the ball better".
