For the reprieve, Reed has none other than his idol - Tiger Woods - to thank. It is a short plane trip from his South Florida home.

Of course, I would like to play Tiger and stick it to him.

The Hero World Challenge will be held Wednesday, December 4 - Saturday, December 7, with live television coverage provided by GOLF Channel during all four rounds and by NBC during the final round.

Scott has played in eight editions of the biennial matchplay tournament and is the only member of the global team who appeared in 2011, which was also at Royal Melbourne where next week's tournament is being held. My time as a player is not as long as it was when I first turned pro. Rickie Fowler was added to the team when Brooks Koepka withdrew due to a knee injury. The following week he competed in the BMW Championship - he played just nine holes in the pro-am - and tied for 37th to end his season and miss qualifying for the Tour Championship. I've finally come from behind to win a major championship, I finally know that I can do that now.

"It's a big week and a big day", Woods said, according to Golf Digest. "It all worked out". "I lost, I think it's eight kilos, so not a lot of weight, but eight kilos in a suitcase, it's all the time, it makes a difference". How was I going to recover and be ready to play? When it comes right down to it, I don't care if I like the person I'm paired with or if the person likes me, as long as it works and sets up the team for success. There are plenty in and around the game who would have had no problem with Patrick Reed being put in "timeout" for a year as penance for his pointed remarks in the aftermath of the 2018 Ryder Cup.

Woods didn't even need his sixth and final shot to beat DeChambeau.

Samoa's measles epidemic: Death toll rises to 55
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the majority of cases involved those who hadn't been vaccinated. A New Zealand journalist, Michael Field, who has an written a book on Samoa, called the paper "nasty and cruel".

What might have seemed a tough call for Woods, the playing captain, was really an easy one. It was the next six events in which Woods' form fell off as back stiffness - and, as we later learned, knee issues - led to just a single top-10 finish, as well as two missed cuts and a withdrawal. "People will look back on the past as well".

Woods is known to have a long memory, but he did himself and US teams - now and in the future - a favor by including Reed.

The Hero World Challenge is Reed's eighth start since the Tour Championship, by far the most of any American player. And that is a long trip to Australia - some 9,800 miles. "We have a system in place, which is great", said Woods on that particular biennial contest.

When asked if he wanted to play Woods, Scott said, "Of course, I'd love to play Tiger and stick it to him". I finally know I can do it now.

"So this is a totally different animal". It's a very busy week. I have to have all the pieces come together. Last year, Jon Rahm earned 48 ranking points for his victory in the Bahamas, which is more than Justin Rose earned for capturing the Farmers Insurance Open, for example. How Woods fares physically will be an important factor over the next two weeks.
