Brad Pitt Says His Alcohol Addiction Was An ‘Escape’

The "Fight Club" actor told Anthony Hopkins that he does give values to his slip-ups for it made him realize things that led him into the right path.

Hopkins asked Pitt about his struggles with alcohol, which was reportedly one of the reasons he got into an alleged brawl with his son, Maddox, aboard a flight, which subsequently prompted Jolie to seek separation. Speaking to his Meet Joe Black co-star Sir Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt opened up about turning to alcoholism to "escape" life which led to his divorce. "Now I've moved a lot in this last stage - moved by my children, moved by friends, moved by the news - just moved - I think it is". As a couple, they starred in a family drama movie, By The Sea. Pitt also talked about how people should judge others on how they react to a mistake instead of the mistake.

Pitt said: "I understand that The Two Popes will come out in theatres (cinemas), and then on Netflix".

"I am quite famously a not-crier", Pitt, 55, said.

"I would be exploring it whether there was a script that allowed that or not."

During their conversation for the American magazine, Pitt referred to his issues with alcohol.

Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt revealed in a recent interview that he loses his cool "at times".

He shared with the outlet that he was moved by his fellow male group members in Alcoholics Anonymous.

Adding that it doesn't help that we're living at a time when people are "judgemental and quick to treat people as disposable", Brad continued: "We've always placed great importance on the mistake". 'But the next move, what you do after the mistake, is what really defines a person. "You possibly can't have one with out the opposite". I see it as something I am just now getting my arms around at this time in my life. And that is the part I find much more invigorating and interesting, ' Brad went on to share with the news outlet. Nonetheless I with out a doubt don't if truth be told feel like I'm in a position to grab credit for any of it'.

'We're all going to absorb mistakes. Brad Pitt stated. "We don't, as a culture, seem to stick around and see what that person's next step is".
