Chill out: Famous stoner Willie Nelson hasn't quit pot entirely

In an interview with Houston's KSAT TV, Willie Nelson revealed that he has quit hitting the ganja due to recent health issues.

"I have abused my lungs quite a bit in the past, so breathing is a little more hard these days and I have to be careful", Nelson confessed. "I started smoking cedar bark, went from that to cigarettes to whatever".

Numerous celebrities have told stories of smoking weed with Nelson, including Snoop Dogg, Chelsea Handler, Woody Harrelson and Owen Wilson among others.

If there's anyone who says they knew this day would come from the cannabis connoisseur who penned the book Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die. frankly, we don't believe you.

Willie Nelson recently had to cancel a few shows due to breathing issues, but thankfully he's been on the mend and back on stage performing.

Willie Nelson may have given up smoking, but he hasn't stopped using marijuana. "Cigarettes killed my mother, my dad, half my family, so don't tell me about health when you're talking about legalising marijuana because it's not unsafe healthwise".

I don't know about any of your (Union) concerns about the program. "I'm still waiting on a good answer to that question. She also reportedly complained about a never-aired joke by guest star Jay Leno - and illegal inside smoking by Cowell.

'It's nice to watch it being accepted - knowing you were right all the time about it: that it was not a killer drug, ' Nelson told Rolling Stone.

"I'm here; I'm glad to be here", he said at the KSAT interview. I think that weed kept me from wanting to kill people. The singer has written songs about smoking weed - and has had weed songs written about him.

Now, he says, he's more conscientious about his health.

'It probably kept a lot of people from wanting to kill me, too - out there drunk, running around'. "There are numerous ways of consumption", she said.

That said, this is all great news.
