Zimmer has continually backed Rhodes despite his struggles, but with four games remaining and the stakes increasing weekly, there needs to come a point of reckoning.

It wouldn't be shocking to see Seattle win out over that stretch, making Week 17 against the 49ers a crucial matchup to likely determine the NFC West victor and one of the top two squads in the conference. The 49ers are 2.5-point underdogs in New Orleans, according to OddsShark.

The win would also propel the Seahawks into the No. 2 seed in the NFC, behind the New Orleans Saints.

When San Francisco's offense is on the field, the key matchup will be its dominant running game (No. 2 in the league) against the Saints' sturdy run defense (No. 3 in the league). He played solid yet again in prime time, leading two fourth-quarter TD drives following an interception that required sensational skill and concentration by Seahawks CB Tre Flowers.

The schedule does not get easier for San Francisco as they prepare to take on the New Orleans Saints.

The 49ers have only been defeated by top Super Bowl contenders. Presumably the reason that Goff is passing more is due to the lack of confidence in the Rams running game.

The vulnerability of the Patriots' offense was exposed on national TV in last week's loss to the Texans, and the question of whether Brady is washed is resurfacing. He has seven touchdown passes and one interception in his last four games, though he's only averaging 6.8 yards per attempt.

Minnesota entered Week 13 with the fifth-best run defense. The Saints are in position to put a stranglehold on the number one NFC playoff seed with a win. Areas in green will broadcast the Washington Redskins at the Green Bay Packers, while areas in yellow will receive the Detroit Lions at the Minnesota Vikings. Both teams have had their share of triumphs and struggles so far.

Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Jarran Reed (91) hits Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins (8) during the first quarter. If Cousins continues playing at a high level, it is hard to fathom the Packers beating the Vikings in Minnesota, but if he collapses on the big stage as he is known to do, you can expect another wild card playoff appearance for the Vikings. Between now and then, the Seahawks visit the Rams and the 5-7 Carolina Panthers before hosting the 3-8-1 Arizona Cardinals in Week 16. Usually, high-seeded teams rest their best players in Week 17, but Seattle and San Francisco may not have that luxury this season.
