South Asian Games 2019: Indians sweep TT doubles gold and silver medals

Kavita won the women's 10,000m silver in 35m 7.95s.

In group event, a team of Nita Gurung, Prashansa Chhetri and Sushila Rai won gold in above 23 catgory in women's poomsae.

Sushmita Tamang won a gold medal in Wushu Taolu.

Pakistan's female shooter Rabia Kabir won an individual bronze medal in 25m pistol category and another bronze in the 25m team pistol event with Lubna Ameen and Mehwish Farhan.

In the meantime, Sri Lanka's Karate, Taekwondo, Badminton, Volleyball and Athletics teams have scooped silver and bronze medals. The gold in this event went to Sri Lanka's Uda Kuburalage (4.34.34s). Harmeet, thus leads the chart with three gold medals, including the one he earned in the team event.

The 19-year-old Mehuli scored 253.3 in the final, 0.4 more than Apurvi Chandela's current World record of 252.9.

On the other hand, the men's kumite team - which comprised Saadi Abbas, Naseed Ahmed, Baz Mohammad, Mohammad Awais, Murad, and Shahbaz - won gold in their respective category.

The tennis team won silver as they lost to India in the final.

Likewise, Kajal Shrestha won a gold medal in Taekwondo under-46kg category defeating Pakistan's Syed Zadi Sidra Batoo.
