Trump echoes Johnson: NHS not part of US-UK trade deal

"That obviously we want a good relationship with the United States of America but the trade talks that have been undertaken by the Government have been done in secret and we do not accept any idea of U.S. companies coming in to run our NHS or the idea of extending the patents of medicine that will increase the costs for our NHS", he said.

"On the digital services tax, I do think we need to look at the operation of the big digital companies and the huge revenues they have in this country and the amount of tax that they pay", Johnson said on Tuesday, according to a BBC report.

On the NHS, the president added: "I don't even know where that rumour started".
