By now, you've probably watched Dakota Johnson and Ellen DeGeneres' fifty shades of awkward interview.

Nodding and smiling politely, the conversation took a turn for the even more hilarious when DeGeneres asked about Johnson's party performer, comedian Tig Notaro, and Johnson said, "She's hilarious, she's my favourite comedian".

Now we know why Ellen DeGeneres didn't go to Dakota Johnson's birthday party.

During an episode featuring Johnson previous year, DeGeneres had previously spoken of being bothered by the fact she didn't earn an invite to Johnson's 29th birthday bash. Ellen visibly confused pondered upon the reason behind her decision to skip the birthday party before she remembered that she "had a thing". "Oh yeah, I had that thing", Ellen said after her producers reminded her that she was out of town that weekend. When I say, & # 39; be kind to each other & # 39;, I don't just mean people who think the same way you do. "You've been on this show many times, and don't I show like?" Through the inconvenient roasting of Dakota, Ellen reappears her controversial hangout again and the situation is now far more than just troublesome.

And then, dear reader, and then Dakota told her to "ask everybody" to which her producers confirmed that she was invited but she was actually out of town.

Knowing that Ellen missed Dakota Johnson's 30th birthday to meet up with her good friend George Bush is really the icing on the cake.

Blast hits Indonesia's National park in Jakarta
In October, an alleged combatant stabbed and wounded former security minister Wiranto in a function to open a university building. While the investigation is still in its early stages, authorities believe the blast was caused by a smoke grenade.

"Last time I was on the show, last year, you gave me a bunch of s-t about not inviting you, but I didn't even know you wanted to be invited", she added, to which DeGeneres responded, "Well, who wouldn't want to be invited to a party?"

Ellen DeGeneres was spotted laughing it up with a former president at an National Football League game on Sunday, but the celebrity sighting received some negative attention.

"Of course I like you", Ellen laughed. "I didn't even know you liked me". We're all different and I think we've forgotten that's okay.

As it happens, Johnson's birthday party fell on October 5 - the same weekend that DeGeneres was at a Dallas Cowboys football game with George W. Bush.

Johnson did not come to play, or to be wrongfooted with the first question thrown at her thank you very much. Well, Johnson's party was held in Malibu, California, on Saturday, October 5, where the likes of Miley Cyrus, Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey, Jr. were on-hand to celebrate her turning 30.
