HMD Global has today expanded its entry-level phone lineup with the unveiling of the new Nokia 2.3 at its much-anticipated launch event in Egypt.

The Nokia 2.3 will be made available mid-December.

Nokia 2.3 has 4000 mAh battery but it supports 10W charging, so don't expect some quick charging there. It's a successor to the Nokia 2.2 from earlier this year and builds upon it with a Finnish-inspired design, dual-cameras, and bigger battery onboard.

The reason why that's sad is because HMD Global is known for its speedy Android update cycles. That's roughly $120 though HMD Global has not mentioned anything about a wider launch.

"Consumers world over have really appreciated the Nokia 2 family of products". The Nokia 2.3 runs Android Pie or Android 9 for now, but the company says it is ready for Android 10 and will get guaranteed monthly security updates for coming three years along with operating system updates for two years. The Nokia 2.3 still has a 3.5mm audio jack.

The handset comes with a 6.2-inch LCD display with an HD+ (720x1520 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio.

Turkey didn't get any concessions from its North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies on branding the YPG as terrorists. He further said that he will try to talk openly and that it's in Turkey's interest to retrench from provocative moves.

The Nokia 2.3 is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, which is expandable to 512GB via a microSD slot. But, that battery should keep the phone going through the day, so you'll probably be charging it overnight while you are sleeping.

Like other Nokia phones released recently such as the Nokia 4.2, the Nokia 2.3 has a dedicated Google Assistant Button.

The Nokia 2.3 has dual rear cameras, consisting of a 13MP main and a 2MP depth or portrait camera. There is a Night Mode and a feature called Recommended Shot that takes 15 photos before and 15 photos after you press the shutter button and presents you with the best. There's a 5MP selfie camera housed in the notch and it could be used for Face Unlock as well.

The Nokia 2.3 is expected to go on sale in mid-December in other countries.

Available in Cyan Green, Sand, and Charcoal and sporting an odd 3D nano-textured cover that gives the back an appearance of having ridges, the Nokia 2.3 will sell for 109 Euro starting mid-December. The starting price is 109 euros, which is around Rs 8,300 plus approximately.
