Giuliani Wants to Take Information to Barr, Congress

The president said that Giuliani will "make a report" of his findings and will submit them to Attorney General William Barr and to Congress.

In an attempt to exonerate President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani has been working with right-wing media outlet One America News Network (OAN) to produce a television special featuring a string of current and former Ukrainian officials defending Trump's conduct in withholding military aid to Ukraine and seeking investigations of the Bidens.

Mr Giuliani, the former New York City mayor, has been travelling to Ukraine to pursue investigations into Mr Trump's potential 2020 Democratic rival Joe Biden and Mr Biden's son, as well as a discredited conspiracy theory that Ukraine, not Russian Federation, interfered in the 2016 U.S. election to help Mr Trump's Democratic rival, Mrs Hillary Clinton.

This week, Rudy Giuliani flew to Ukraine in a move that some senior White House and national security officials reportedly found troubling.

Joe Biden's son Hunter was on the board of a Ukrainian energy company while his father was vice president, and Trump has alleged without evidence that the father got a Ukrainian prosecutor fired because the prosecutor was looking into the company.

Earlier this week, Giuliani flew to Kyiv to discuss setting up a group to combat corruption and to meet with Ukrainian lawmakers who stated that Biden's son Hunter Biden obtained money stolen from the Ukrainian people.

Andrii Artemenko was expelled from Ukraine's Radical Party and accused of treason by Ukrainian prosecutors in 2017 for meeting with President Trump's then-personal attorney Michael Cohen, and Russian-American businessman and former Trump associate Felix Sater in NY on January 27, and discussing a strategy that would permit Russia to lease Crimea for between 50-100 years.

"Among other things, there are facts about the inefficient use of American taxpayers" money by representatives of Ukrainian state bodies'.

Before arriving in Kyiv, Giuliani stopped in the Hungarian capital. Giuliani's trip to Ukraine this week raised lots of questions, particularly since it came at a time when the House impeachment investigation is at center stage and many have criticized him for carrying out a shadow foreign policy for Trump.

Reeker met the new Prosecutor General Ruslan Ryaboshapka for what the U.S. Embassy said was a discussion about reforms. Ryaboshapka said last month Ukraine was deepening its probe into the founder of Burisma. Zelensky's office did not respond to a request for comment. Among those Giuliani has made contact with is former prosecutor Yuriy Lutsenko. While he was prosecutor general, Lutsenko privately met Giuliani twice this year: in NY in January and later somewhere in Poland.
