But Microsoft is also approaching external partners to bring new batches of games with a regular cadence. In my house we don't need the Xbox on to get into an argument over the cooking of Christmas dinner, so playing a heated game of Overcooked is fairly normal.

"I thought Control was really good", Spencer said when asked about some of his favorite games from the past year. "It didn't reach enough people, so I'm glad to see that it's coming to Game Pass so hopefully more people will play it".

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: During an Extra Life charity livestream, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer remarked that Remedy's third person shooter Control would be making its way to Xbox Game Pass, though he didn't say when.

Microsoft itself hasn't revealed anything officially regarding Control's impending launch on Xbox Game Pass till now, meaning either Phil Spencer has accidentally leaked his own company's announcement, or is mistaken, and the game isn't coming to the service after all. The publisher's subscription service already has more than 100 games, and is now receiving several new ones in time for gift parties. So it's possible Spencer might have jumped the gun here by announcing this one prematurely.

The character was a new addition to the live-action film's storyline. He has a role in the upcoming Bond movie No Time to Die . With Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich returning as producers.

Let's also take a moment to acknowledge the titles leaving Game Pass this month.

Tomorrow will see the addition of psychedelic stunt-shooter My Friend Pedro, allowing Game Pass members to partake in the violent ballet as you shoot and trick your way through increasingly weird stages. The game was discounted on multiple storefronts rather quickly, and during Black Friday, Control was able to be purchased for just $42.

We are also expecting release dates for the next batch of PC Game Pass titles. It deserves that wider audience. We'll let you know as soon as we have more information.
