Maryland real estate company surprises its employees with $10 million bonus

A Baltimore-based company is playing Santa to its 198 employees by giving out over $10 million in bonuses.

According to a press release, St. John Properties said it's to celebrate the company's goal of developing 20 million square feet of office, flex/RD&D, retail and warehouse space in eight states.

Employees screamed in disbelief when St. John told them of the bonus, with each staffer opening a red envelope with the exact size of their award. "It is life-changing". Some employees received a 6-figure bonus.
