Frederick Nominated For NFL Man Of The Year

Each team chooses a player each year for the honor to recognize outstanding community service activities off the field as well as excellence on the field.

Tight end Jason Witten represented the Cowboys as the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year victor in 2012.

Every year since 1970, a victor has been selected from a group of 32 nominees.

Earlier this season, Reader was named the Texans 2019 Spirit of the Bull award victor, awarded each year to a player who makes a big impact on the field, as well as in the community.

The 2019 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year will be announced during NFL Honors, a two-hour primetime awards special to air nationally on February 1, the eve of Super Bowl LIV, on FOX.

Frederick and the 31 other current nominees will wear a special helmet decal beginning with this week's games and continuing through the end of the season. All nominees receive $50,000 in their name to a charity, no matter if they win or not. Votes must contain #WPMOYChallenge followed by the player's last name. NFL Honors will be at the Adrienne Arsht Center in downtown Miami.
