Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is managed by agent Jim Solbakken and the latter also travelled with Haaland to England.

Reports from Norway claimed Haaland and his father Alf Inge were en route to Manchester from Stavanger, fuelling speculation that United are close to agreeing a deal for the Red Bull Salzburg striker next month.

United are expected to be active ahead of the January transfer window with the club seeking additions as they bid to continue their push for a top-four finish.

The 19-year-old has previously worked under the United boss at Norwegian club Molde, and that gives the Red Devils an advantage over the other teams like Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig who are also interested in signing him.

"Well, he is not coming to Manchester because...well, I know the boy and I know his friends and all this".

Real Madrid have a long-standing interest in the France global but Solskjaer insists he is not leaving Old Trafford during the January window.

"He will want to be out there playing and training with the boys and he is one of their best players".

Salman Khan starrer Dabangg 3 opens to 20% occupancy
Dabangg 3 has had a promising start with audiences, which doesn't come as a surprise as many have been loyal to the franchise. The action-drama also stars Sonakshi Sinha , Saiee Manjrekar and Sudeep in lead roles and will be produced by Arbaaz Khan.

"It has to be the right player, right age, going to fit into this squad and for the right value so we're always looking".

Pogba has subsequently only appeared six times since then due to an ankle injury and a report on Thursday evening suggested that team-mates and club officials felt the midfielder had nearly certainly played his last game for United.

The 26-year-old will again be absent when United travel to Watford on Sunday but the midfielder was seen in good spirits on Friday, just hours after the manager sung his praises once again.

"There's always a chance of outgoing moves", Solskjaer said.

"Paul's been fantastic when he's played for us".

Speaking in an interview quoted by Manchester United's website, Solskjaer said: "There's hunger there and they do extras".

"Maybe they haven't played enough so, of course, there may be a chance".
