The captains will be the All-Star starter from each conference who receives the most fan votes in his conference. Doncic and Houston's James Harden also are off to enormous leads in the West guards race.

The rising legend of Tacko Fall has found its way into the initial results of fan balloting for the upcoming NBA All-Star Game.

Other notables from the first week of fan voting, which began on Christmas Day: Boston's Tacko Fall is sixth in the East frontcourt balloting, Golden State's Stephen Curry is fourth in the West guard vote so far despite being sidelined by injury, and Portland's Carmelo Anthony is holding the No. 8 spot in the West frontcourt race.

Despite being on a two-way deal that's seen him split time between ME and Boston, Tacko Fall is actually the sixth-most popular frontcourt player in the first round of Eastern Conference All-Star fan voting released on Tuesday.

The NBA All-Star Game team rosters will be drafted by the two captains. The starters and the two team captains will be announced on January 23.

After all votes are tallied, players will be ranked in each conference by position (guard and frontcourt) within each of the three voting groups - fan votes, player votes and media votes.
