According to an arrest report obtained by PEOPLE, DaBaby was arrested in relation to the robbery investigation later on Thursday and charged with one count of battery.

Rapper DaBaby was arrested in Miami on Thursday night after being taken in for questioning in connection with a robbery investigation.

A police report seen by TMZ alleges that DaBaby confronted the promoter after receiving a reduced payment of $20,000 for a concert performance, $10,000 less than the expected $30,000 fee.

The rapper and the group of men with him fled the scene, but DaBaby was allegedly later positively identified by the two victims, the arrest report stated.

The man was allegedly beaten, robbed of $80, a credit card, and doused with apple juice.

Kirk, 28, who is best known for his single Suge, was in South Florida for a New Year's Eve performance at a Miami Beach nightclub.

As part of the study, as many as 28 research studies involving about 21,000 children from around seven nations were scrutinized. Hence, they are less likely to snack on other food items, such as bread, biscuits, and chips, which can lead to obesity.

The men then all got into a black SUV and started to pull away while the victim got up, but before the SUV left, one of the men ran out of the back seat and knocked him to the ground before getting back in the auto and leaving.

Officers, who said they found less than a half-ounce (14 grams) of marijuana, took him to the sheriff's department but decided ultimately to issue him citations and let him leave in lieu of making an arrest. Police did not name any of the other people with Kirk or the promoters.

After his arrest, Miami-Dade Corrections Public Affairs Manager Juan Diasgranados said Friday they discovered that Kirk had a out-of-state warrant for his arrest in Texas.

DaBaby is scheduled to perform with DJ Khaled and others on January 30 as part of the EA Sports Bowl, the unofficial kickoff "Welcome to Miami Showcase" event at the AmericanAirlines Arena ahead of the Super Bowl. However, this isn't Billion Dollar Baby's first run-in with the law.

The rapper was arrested in Charlotte on December 23, 2019, for marijuana possession.

Kirk tweeted later that day saying, "Someone died last night while the police department wasting resources and officers to harass me in attempt to make a bad example out of me".
