GeoNet resumes volcano cam feed, one month on from Whakaari/White Island tragedy

Another person has died, succumbing to their injuries, following the Whakaari/White Island eruption previous year.

A hospital spokeswoman told the ABC the man died of the injuries he received in the eruption.

An Australian man who was injured in a volcanic eruption in New Zealand more than a month ago has died, becoming the 20th victim of the disaster, officials said Monday.

Mr Browitt and his daughters went on a tour of the island while his wife Marie stayed on the ship. Those who survived are still being treated in hospitals in New Zealand and Australia for severe burn injuries. Authorities won't comment on the conditions of two victims in Sydney at the request of relatives.

The Alfred in Victoria confirmed the male patient had died at their hospital and that two women remained in hospital.

One is in a stable condition and the other is still critical, while eight volcano victims remain in Sydney hospitals.

There were 47 people, mostly tourists, on or near the White Island volcano when it erupted on December 9.

Dallow's husband Gavin Dallow, 53, and daughter Zoe Hosking, 25, were killed on the island.

More than a month since the deadly Whakaari/White Island volcano eruption, GeoNet is resuming the island camera feed to its website.

Three more Australians have been identified following the volcanic eruption in New Zealand on Monday.
