Today, i.e. January 17, 2020, we get the unveiling of the pre-release single from 7 titled Black Swan. The song was trending worldwide within minutes of its release by the K-pop group. The first version makes more of an impact because we haven't heard BTS this way before-there is a raw intensity in their vocals laid bare and every time the music swells, as does the heart.

Black Swan isn't just the name of Natalie Portman's cinematic descent into ballet madness. Black Swan is the confession of BTS discovering what music means to themselves in such a dark and haunting manner.

On Friday, the Korean boy band dropped an art film for "Black Swan", the single from their new album Map of the Soul: 7, with an interpretive dance performance by Slovenian modern dance troupe MN Dance Company.

The track appears on incoming album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7", which will be given full release on February 21st. In this video, we don't see the band but hear their soulful vocal cords with a hauntingly lovely performance by MN Dance Company. Moreover, this brand new music video is co-produced by BTS' leader RM a.k.a. Kim Namjoon. Opening with a quote from Martha Graham about a dancer's mortality, BTS's "Black Swan" film nicely reflects the song's message - about artists' fraught relationship with the work that sustains them.
