Utah man goes viral after finding himself locked in 24 Hour Fitness after the gym cut back its hours. I called Sandy dispatch.

"I am literally locked inside 24-hour fitness right now", he wrote along with pictures of an empty gym. Hill joked in his post, adding that he had been, "Walking around trying to figure out how to get out".

He then explained that he called a 911 dispatch, who "told me they'd call me back".

"I walked around and as I started to explore further, there's nobody there", he told the PA news agency.

He arrived home to find his wife, who had initially advised him to find a comfortable place in the gym to hunker down for the night, fast asleep in bed. "And I said, 'I'm in 24 Hour Fitness, and there's an alarm system here and I don't want to get busted for breaking and entering'".

"I just thought it was kind of amusing at the start". "You know, it was kind of like Home Alone, like 'Oh my gosh, I have this gym to myself'". "Like oh my gosh".

Countdown clock to illuminate Downing Street on Brexit Day
A Brexiteer Tory has predicted that the £500,000 needed to get Big Ben to ring for Brexit will be raised within days. So far the number of applicants to the scheme has hit more than 2.7 million.

How could this possibly happen?

Apparently, 24 Hour Fitness isn't actually open for 24 hours - a realization one Utah man discovered first hand over the weekend.

LADbible has contacted 24 Hour Fitness for comment.

"We have clearly not done well on our club closure procedures on Saturday night and will strengthen our club procedures so that this incident will not recur in the future", the company said in a statement. "We remain committed to providing our members and guests with the best possible fitness experience at a great price". "He said 'but it's 24 hours" and I said 'I thought so too!'.

"So I've felt bad about any poor publicity I may have caused", he began the Facebook post, apologizing to the gym for any negative media.

Well played, Mr. Hill.
