Kentucky led by as many as nine points twice in the opening half, and after going ahead 15-12 on a Nate Sestina 3 with 13:24 to go, never trailed until late in the second.

Kentucky (13-4, 4-1 Southeastern Conference) had five players score in double figures. Ashton Hagans had 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists, and Immanuel Quickley finished with 13 points and 10 boards. Isaiah Joe added 13 while Jimmy Whitt Jr. finished with 14.

Calipari disputed a foul call with 8:19 to play in the game, and continued to argue before being sent to the visiting locker room. He received two technical fouls as the sellout crowd at Bud Walton Arena cheered wildly. "But these kids are resilient".

Senior guard Jimmy Whitt was asked if playing Kentucky - the first nationally-ranked opponent for the Razorbacks this season - contributed to the Razorbacks playing tight and shooting 66.7% on free throws (20 of 30) when they came into the game shooting 75.2%.

For the second-straight game, the Wildcats lost a double-digit lead.

Chandler Parsons' NBA career might be over after scary auto accident
Parsons has missed significant time throughout his playing career due to basketball-related injuries. The 31-year-old has been listed on the team's injury report since Wednesday afternoon's wreck.

Quickley made a 3-pointer and Keion Brooks Jr. scored to make it 61-49 with 2:44 left.

"The momentum of that game was headed in their favor", Payne said. "The last thing they're expecting us to do is rebound and push the ball up the court". Well, that's what we did. "We've got a game after the Kentucky game, too, that becomes important". In his first start since the Utah game on December 18, sophomore Quickley went just 1-of-5 from three despite being red-hot from that range in recent games and went 3-of-14 from field.

"I thought we played hard", Musselman said. "I think we're athletic. But look, this one hurts". Kentucky fell to SC on Wednesday. It likely will drop a few spots when the next poll comes out. "We just need a day to regroup and start our prep on Monday and get on the plane and go compete and try to get better in areas that we failed in [against the Wildcats] and try to learn from a loss". They were outrebounded 47-29 for the game.

Kentucky hosts Georgia on Tuesday.
