The rapper YG was arrested Friday morning at a home in Chatsworth by sheriff's deputies who served a search warrant in connection with a robbery investigation, authorities said.

Before his arrest, YG was set to perform at the Grammys on Sunday in honor of his friend and slain rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was tragically gunned down outside of his Marathon clothing store on March 31 of past year.

According to TMZ, the rapper's bail has been set at $250K. His arrest is not expected to interfere with his Grammys appearance. Authorities did not immediately provide additional details about the arrest or the alleged robbery.

The Epic Games partnership was a massive step for the organization as they continue to legitimize esports from the ground-up. Unsportsmanlike conduct from participants is not within that spirit, and will not be tolerated in Fortnite competition.

YG is home, and we're told they have a search warrant and an arrest warrant related to a robbery case.

Investigators told KTLA at the time that the investigation was connected to a pursuit and shootout that occurred in Compton on July 3. "And we have not been provided with any details". Tacopina continues, "Rest assured, my client will be cleared of all charges, if they even survive past the arraignment". The Game tweeted: "Funny how @YG gets arrested the weekend of the Grammy's when he's supposed to hit the stage in Nip's honor #LAPDtheBiggestGangHere". A couple weeks after the shooting, a Hollywood Hills home leased by YG was raided and at least one person was arrested for a weapons charge. YG was not home at that time.
